After nearly six months completing the so-called Deal Closing formalities, the takeover of Dutch Space by EADS was completed on the 28th July 2006.
By 13:30 hrs on Friday 28th July 2006, in the offices of Stibbe in Amsterdam, all the official papers were signed and Dutch Space became part of EADS. In the same signing ceremony, Bart Reijnen was named as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Dutch Space.
Dutch Space is now a 100% daughter of Astrium N.V. Astrium N.V. is since the 1st of July 2006, the new name of EADS SPACE B.V. Dutch Space is operationally part of the Business Unit Astrium Space Transportation
